The church currently recognizes two fellowship groups for youth:
Our Youth Ministry programs follow five components of Christian discipline: Study, Worship, Mission, Recreation, and Community. Each component is specific to the particular age groups. This philosophy has worked well to strengthen our youth and reflect their Christian growth and development. The ultimate outcome is to experience Christian community: defined as a place where one is accepted and loved in the midst of a world and a culture that demands and alienates. This community is a place to question and struggle in the midst of a culture that demands performance and perfection. (Ann Updegraff-Spleth, Youth Ministry Manual: Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 1981). Our youth leaders for 2010 are Kim and Ray Gryder.
* ALL Adult Leaders have completed required “boundaries training” and consist of a team of at least one male and one female adult for every activity. |
