Helen Simpson, Minister of Counseling

Pastor Helen Simpson is a licensed minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  She serves as Minister of Counseling at Trinity and offers faith-based counseling to the community on Tuesdays and Fridays.  Please feel free to call her at 804/767-1313 for more information and/or to make an appointment. 

Helen has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University.  She is a Virginia licensed clinical social worker.  Helen is in private practice as a psychotherapist as well as serving as one of the pastors at Trinity Church.  Helen leads and preaches at the Tuesday morning worship service at 8:00 a.m., which is a new offering to the community.  This is an informal, contemplative service of scripture, reflection, silence, and the Lord’s Supper.  All are welcome!

For the past ten years, Helen has been ministering as a religious volunteer at the Virginia Correctional Center for Women in Goochland.  She and her team teach weekly Bible studies to the inmates and provide much-needed spiritual guidance and direction.   Ministering with these women has been a true blessing in her life.
